MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, a supporter of Joe Biden, has cracked down on undecided Democrats over whether to replace the presidential nominee.
Maddow insisted that time is of the essence to name a new candidate so she can campaign on Monday’s episode of her prime-time show on the liberal news network.
President Biden has faced growing calls to drop out of the race following his disastrous debate against Republican nominee Donald Trump.
The news anchor, who once insisted Biden is not too old to hold office because he can ride a bike, joined calls for the president to make an urgent decision.
“I will say, to be fair, if Democrats are going to change their nominee, maybe they should get on with it, right? Don’t take my advice, but it seems like common sense that waiting a little bit is the worst possible solution,” Maddow said.

‘If Vice President Kamala Harris or any other candidate is going to take over the leadership role from President Biden, that candidate will need ample time to develop a campaign. And this is July.
‘So, I don’t know if Democrats are going to replace Joe Biden at the top of the ticket or if they should. The only person who can make that decision is the nominee himself, President Biden. But I do know that the window to make that decision is right now, and it’s that wide.

In reality, they’re introducing him while he awaits sentencing on a separate set of dozens of unrelated felony charges.’
There is mounting pressure to replace Biden following the debate in which the 81-year-old stumbled over his words and lost his train of thought several times.
Major Democratic donors have threatened to pull the plug on funding if Biden does not step aside.
“For Biden’s sake and the sake of the country, he should resign immediately,” major Democratic donor and former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson told DailyMail.com.
“The fact that three days have passed and Biden has done nothing to reassure us confirms my worst fears.”

A CBS News/YouGov poll conducted over the two days following the CNN debate found that 72 percent of registered voters do not believe Biden has the “mental and cognitive health necessary to serve as president.” That figure is up from 65 percent in early June.
Some of the most popular names being considered to replace Biden include Governors Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer.
Vice President Kamala Harris is the natural successor to the presidency if Biden steps down during his term. But Democrats have for years criticized Harris’ performance and believe she should not take over Biden’s role before the election.
Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez He said that if Biden were to step aside, only Harris would be able to use the funds raised by his campaign.
The $91.2 million raised by the Biden-Harris ticket through May 31 is not transferable to any other candidate, according to Federal Election Commission rules.
