Author and radio host Rabbi Shmuley Boteach continued his feud with former The Daily Wire commentator Candace Owens by posting a bizarre video of himself on Purim dressed as a ‘Candace Owens Jew.’
owens and The Daily Wire have parted ways after weeks of tension with the outlet’s co-founder. Ben Shapiro about the war between Israel and Hamas and his promotion of various conspiracy theories.
Part of the lead-up to his disassociation included a very public dispute between Owens and Rabbi Shmuley, who has been accusing the expert of anti-Semitism dating back to his associations and defense of Kanye West in 2022.
On Saturday, on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Purim, he posted on X several videos of himself dressed in exaggerated anti-Semitic stereotypes of the Jewish people, describing himself as a ‘Candace Owens Jew.
‘For Purim I dressed up as a Candace Owens Jew (or is it just a costume? Or are we Jews deep down always like this… filth, money, drunk on Christian blood… and… double loyalty to Israel )’ he wrote.

Owens and The Daily Wire parted ways after weeks of tension with the outlet’s co-founder, Ben Shapiro, over the war between Israel and Hamas and his promotion of various conspiracy theories.
The reference to Christian blood emanates from a tweet Owens liked last week that accused Rabbi Shmuley of being “drunk on Christian blood.”
“I felt like since Candace got fired on Friday, I might as well try to give her some joy on Purim by validating all of her opinions about Jews, at least for a day,” he added.
In the video he also holds a small child and writes: “This is not a Christian child, this is a Jewish child.”
Rabbi Shmuley again referenced Candace’s previous taste for a publication about Christian blood.
“But if that were the case, I have my ‘Christian blood,'” he continued while pretending to drink a mouthful of ‘Christian blood’ from a red container. ‘Mmm, spicy, delicious. I have my Jewish nose. I have ‘filth,’ she said, noticing that the word was written on her forehead.
“Purim is the day when our enemies fall, my brothers and sisters,” he concluded.
‘If this is how you want us to look, I’ll do it for one night. I will please you.
Owens publicly responded to the video by quoting and tweeting a response to fellow right-wing commentator Alex Jones, who accused Rabbi Shmuley of “having a nervous breakdown.”
On Saturday, on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Purim, the rabbi posted on X several videos of himself dressed in anti-Semitic and exaggerated stereotypes of the Jewish people, describing himself as a “Candace Owens Jew.”
He was also shown drinking from a cup he said was full of ‘Christian blood’, referencing a post Owens had liked last week.
“In fact, it seems to be counterproductive, but we must remember that we are dealing with uncreative people,” he said, referring to the response that questioned the effectiveness of Rabbi Shmuley’s video.
‘Smearing people as racist, anti-Semitic and crazy usually works for them. They don’t know how to deal with the fact that this time the public won’t bite.’
Patrick Bet-David, a popular content creator who is Jewish and who previously had Owens as a guest on his show, also criticized the famous rabbi.
‘There is nothing funny in this video. Regardless of the dispute, this is strange behavior on the part of a grown man. There is nothing wrong with debating differences, but this behavior is a poor reflection on any community,” Bet-David wrote in X.
Owens has frequently accused Rabbi Shmuley and his daughter of smearing her as anti-Semitic, anti-Christian and “satanic,” reaching a boiling point when the two debated on Piers Morgan’s talk show earlier this month.
Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing confirmed that Owens had left the conservative outlet on Friday morning.
“Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,” Boreing posted on X.
Owens, 34, reacted to the news by saying, “The rumors are true: I’m finally free.”
He also shared his personal website for those who want to support his work and teased “many announcements in the coming weeks,” saying he will be bringing his show back to YouTube after a brief hiatus.
It comes after weeks of scandals surrounding the controversial conservative, who recently launched a campaign claiming that French first lady Brigitte Macron is transgender.
Owens has frequently accused Rabbi Shmuley and his daughter of slandering her as anti-Semitic and anti-Christian, reaching a boiling point when the two debated on Piers Morgan’s talk show.
She has also engaged in intense online debates with several members of the Jewish community who she claims attack her for being a Christian.
Owens landed his show in the right-wing media in 2021, after achieving national notoriety with his particular brand of conservatism, considered far-right nationalism by his critics.
A source close to the expert told DailyMail.com on Friday: “Candace will speak soon…Anyone who knows Candace knows that Candace has a voice that cannot be silenced.”
Owens also reacted Friday morning after the Anti-Defamation League issued a statement deeming her anti-Semitic.
She wrote on The world already knows my heart. Their attacks will have the opposite desired effect. Wake up the world.
‘Thank you, @adl’
He continued: ‘My crime is that I don’t believe American taxpayers should have to pay for Israel’s wars or any other country’s wars.
‘I won’t change my mind. So the question is what are you going to do to me next? “The world is watching.”
Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro split from Owens on Friday
Boteach has repeatedly gone after Owens for his anti-Semitic claims that there are “rings” of “sinister” Jews controlling Hollywood and Washington DC.
Owens’ comments came after the ADL posted about the white supremacist and Nick Fuentes praised some of the conservative commentator’s comments.
“When intolerant people come together to push an anti-Semitic agenda, it adds fuel to the fire of hate,” the ADL said.

Owens has made shocking and false claims that these groups could be behind Michael Jackson’s death. He has also liked posts claiming that Jews ritually drink Christian blood.
TDW has previously resisted calls to fire Owens, saying he was exercising free speech and had not violated the law or the terms of his contract.
