PSG have reportedly included Marcus Rashford on a shortlist of potential replacements for club talisman Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappé has long been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes, with Real Madrid the most likely destination for the French international.

The long-running saga over the 25-year-old’s future took a decisive turn this week, when Mbappe informed the club that he will leave for free when his contract expires in the summer.

According to a report by The timesThe Parisian team’s football advisor, Luis Campos, sees Rashford as a possible replacement for Mbappé.

Rashford had been in talks to join the Ligue 1 club in the summer of 2022 before ultimately staying at United and enjoying his most prolific campaign to date at Old Trafford, scoring 30 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions.

PSG are said to be considering a move for Marcus Rashford as they look to replace Kylian Mbappe this summer.

In Erik ten Hag’s second season at Old Trafford, Rashford has struggled to consistently replicate his performances from last season.

However, he has struggled to maintain such high levels in Erik ten Hag’s second season in charge of the club.

The 26-year-old has only scored five Premier League goals in 23 appearances this season, with lackluster performances on the field compounded by controversial incidents outside of football.

In January, the academy graduate missed training before an FA Cup match against Newport after being photographed in a Belfast nightclub, with the incident reportedly proving controversial in the club’s dressing room.

Last summer, Rashford signed a new five-year contract at Old Trafford worth a basic £300,000-a-week.

As such, the striker is likely to command a hefty fee, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe having the final say on any potential departure.

Rashford is joined on PSG’s wish list by Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, a more traditional striker than the Englishman, has been a revelation at Napoli since he arrived at the club from Lille in 2020.

Osimhen was the club’s top scorer as Luciano Spalletti led them to their first Serie A title in more than three decades last season.

The Nigerian international was rewarded for his excellent form with a contract extension in December, with a release clause reportedly in excess of £105m.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing Osimhen this summer, but the striker recently insisted he already has his career path mapped out.

“There is a rumor about my relationship with the Premier League,” said Osimhen CBS Sports last month. “When you’re one of the best strikers in the world, you expect these kinds of things.

“In Napoli I have just signed a new contract, I enjoy my time there, spending it with the team, and at the end of the season I already made a decision.
