Tea-loving Brits were left unimpressed after a woman shared her cheap ‘trick’ for making a cup of tea – using the radiator.
Mum-of-two Whitney Aincough, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, revealed her brewing hack on social media; but he has not convinced anyone with his method.
The 30-year-old filled her cup with cold water, dropped her tea bag with four sweeteners in it and then placed it on the radiator.
After doing so, he approached the heating device in his house and turned it up to 27 degrees.
She returned to the preparation 30 minutes later and stated that it was ready to prepare with a splash of milk.

Whitney also suggested leaving freshly brewed tea on the radiator to keep it warm throughout the day.
Speaking in the clip, she said: “Come make a cup of tea with me on the radiator, take your cold water, your tea bag, four sweeteners and this will go into the radiator… then we’ll check again in a minute.”
‘This is really warm, can you see? It’s the right time to add some milk as you normally would…it has dissolved nicely.
‘Do you know what to say about what’s been done to the radiator? That’s really good.
“So when you get up in the morning, you turn on the radiators, you make your cup, you come back to it and after half an hour you have a team cup ready.”

Despite claiming it as a gimmick, the average cost of running a radiator for half an hour in the UK is significantly more expensive than boiling the kettle.
The average price for a UK home to use central heating for half an hour is £0.72, while boiling a kettle would cost just £0.01.
