A Sydney couple have revealed their big plans after winning a $40 million Oz Lotto jackpot.
The couple, from the Hills District, had the only division one winning entry in Tuesday’s draw, earning them the full jackpot.
“You’re kidding me, my God,” the woman screamed when a Lott official called immediately after the draw to confirm the prize.
“I was just falling asleep when you called. I usually play Powerball, but I thought I’d give Oz Lotto a try.
“In our dreams we have thought about what we would do if we achieved a big victory, but we never thought it would come true. It’s unreal.”

When asked about his money plans, the husband shared that he would still wake up and go to work despite becoming a billionaire.
“This will buy us some time. It will give us time to be able to do the things we want to do and help the people in your life who have helped you and you want to help them in return,” he said.
‘I always say that I’ve already won the lottery because I live in Australia, I’m healthy and I met my beautiful wife.’
The pair’s 18-race winning QuickPick was acquired from Kenthurst Cellars.
So far this year, 12 division one winning entrants in the Western and Blue Mountains region have collectively taken home more than $82.45 million in prize money.
The winning numbers for Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw 1587 were 18, 1, 42, 33, 15, 36 and 10, while the complementary numbers were 9, 12 and 27.
