Olivia Dunne hopes it’s just a matter of time until her boyfriend Paul Skenes, the wildly exciting MLB pitching prospect, finally makes his big league debut.
Skenes has been dominating for Triple-A Indianapolis and while the Pittsburgh Pirates want to be patient with their 21-year-old protégé, it doesn’t look like they can keep him down for much longer.
His girlfriend since last summer, LSU gymnast and TikTok star Olivia Dunne, is already preparing as if his MLB debut is right around the corner.
Speaking with TMZ, said: “He’s a great guy and we support each other in everything.” It definitely makes me a better person.
‘I have no idea (when his MLB debut will be). I hope soon! I’m starting to prepare all my merchandising. I already have my clothes picked out.

Dunne said he has already chosen the outfit for when Skenes plays for the Pirates.
Skenes, a pitcher, has been terrific for Triple-A Indianapolis in recent weeks
Skenes led an Indianapolis victory over St Paul Saints last Thursday, throwing 34 pitches of 100 mph or more in 3.1 innings.
He struck out eight, and allowed only one hit and two walks, in his fourth start of the season.
Skenes’ fastest pitch hit 102.1 mph that night, and the biggest remaining question is when Pittsburgh will call him up to the big league team.
Meanwhile, Dunne has recently enjoyed his own success in gymnastics with his LSU team winning its first NCAA Gymnastics Championship over the weekend.
However, he now faces a big question about his own future, now that a fifth year of university eligibility is being offered due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an interview with TODAY earlier this week, Dunne said, “It definitely makes me want to come back, but I haven’t really thought about it.”
“I’ve been focusing on the now and winning this national title, so I’ll definitely start thinking about that.”
