Oliva Rodrigo made a very clear statement about her stance on reproductive rights after handing out free Plan Bs to teenage concertgoers, sparking a wave of debate among social media users.
One fan – known only as Kin – took to X, formerly Twitter, to post a photo of Julie’s morning-after pill she received at the singer’s concert in St Louis, Missouri.
The 21-year-old Grammy Award winner had partnered with the Missouri Abortion Fund — as well as a pregnancy education text line called Right By You — to distribute emergency contraception and condoms at her show earlier this month.
Olivia launched her GUTS world tour in February and announced her Fund 4 Good initiative to ‘support all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom.’

The Grammy Award winner, 21, teamed up with the Missouri Abortion Fund to distribute emergency contraception and condoms at her show
In the original social media post shared earlier this week, Kin revealed a snapshot of the products she received along with a caption that read: ‘Free Plan B at Olivia Rodrigo in St. Louis tonight. Thank you, Missouri Abortion Fund.’
After the initiative, a spokesman for the Missouri Abortion Fund said Today: ‘This is just a normal part of what many abortion funds, including the Missouri Abortion Fund, bring to our community events.
“We want to ensure that Missourians have maximum control over their own reproductive health care.”
They continued: ‘We appreciate Olivia raising abortion funds, especially as many foundations have seen a drop in donations since 2023.’
The Plan B product usually costs between $40 and $50, according to Planned Parenthood.
The brand that was given out at the star’s recent concert was Julie – which is sold over the counter at various pharmacies.
“Replacing the stigma and shame often associated with emergency contraception with access, exploration and education is at the core of who we are, and we’re grateful for artists like Olivia Rodrigo,” a spokesperson for Julie told the magazine.
And dozens of fans flocked to the comments to share their support for the initiative.

A third person added: ‘Respect! It’s putting your money where your mouth is.’
Another shared: ‘I suddenly (became) a fan without advertising (or) knowing a single song.’
Others said they had nothing but ‘respect’ for the singer and her team for the partnership, with another writing: ‘She couldn’t be cooler.’
But there were others who were more hesitant about the move, as one wrote: ‘This is beyond disturbing and disgusting.’
