Nightmarish moment stranger appears on road at night and tries to get into family’s car

This is the horrifying moment a man appeared in the middle of a dark road before he got tired of getting into a family’s car.

Tsai’s wife, who was in the driver’s seat, stopped the car when she noticed that the vehicles ahead were swerving.

That’s when the strange man, wearing only boxers, lunged at his car and tried to open the front passenger door.

When Tsai’s wife started driving again, the man allegedly hung from the car door.

‘I didn’t know if he was holding a gun, pointing it at us as he walked slowly and then ran. “I’m terrified,” Tsai told KTVU.

“He was frowning, like he wanted to hurt us,” Tsai added.

Tsai said he was traumatized by the 8-second incident and is taking time off from his job as a software engineer to recover.

He explained that he and his family travel weekly on Interstate 880 from Fremont to San Francisco, but the incident has caused them to change their routine.

Tsai, a Bay Area native, said this is the first time he has asked himself if he wants to live in California.

The California Highway Patrol said they recovered a stolen vehicle nearby shortly after the incident.

The suspect in that case apparently jumped on the hood of the car, broke the windshield and stole it after the driver got out.

That driver was safely picked up by his girlfriend, who was driving another car behind him.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

CHP Officer Adib Zeid said officers followed the man for a while before losing sight of him.

CHP added that they still need to confirm that the same man is responsible for both incidents.
