Never-before-seen footage has emerged of Travis Kelce celebrating a potential touchdown pass a little prematurely following the Chiefs’ win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Kansas City continued its perfect start to the season in Atlanta, where it earned a 22-17 victory to move to 3-0 in defending its second consecutive Super Bowl crown.
Despite the win, it turned out to be another disappointing night for Kelce on an individual level as he failed to make an impact on the game, recording just four receptions for 30 yards.
And amid questions about his NFL future, the 34-year-old has been the subject of ridicule from fans over images that emerged from Sunday’s game.
The clip first shows Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes attempting to find tight end Noah Gray in the end zone on a 23-yard pass, before Kelce raises his arm in the air in celebration after throwing the ball.

However, to his embarrassment, he turns around to find that a Falcons defender has intercepted Mahomes.
“Kelce celebrating when Mahomes throws the ball, only for it to get picked up later, it’s killing me,” one user wrote alongside the video on X.
Another joked: “Wait, that wasn’t in the script…”
A third commented: “Haha, he tried to do what (Steph) Curry did.”
While one simply said: “The guy is such an idiot it’s unbearable.”
Meanwhile, others criticized Mahomes for his missed pass and argued that Kelce’s premature celebration was justified.
One of them said: “I want to say that this release is HORRIBLE. I can understand why Mr. Swift thought this was inevitable.”
While another posted: “This just shows how bad Mahomes has been, relative to what he’s done historically. It’s an easy throw and catch for them.”

But then he finds out that his Chiefs teammate’s pass is intercepted in the end zone.

However, his teammate George Karlaftis has said TMZ that the tight end “hasn’t lost his rhythm.”
“He’s a kid that loves the game of football, he’s going to come in and work hard every day no matter what and teams have to respect that,” Karlaftis said. “He’s the best tight end to ever play the game, you could say, I certainly think so.”
“You have to keep that in mind, he’s going to be facing double and triple blocks, which opens the door for guys like Rashee (Rice), our running game and things like that,” he continued. “So he’s a guy that commands a lot of respect.”
