- Batsman David Warner was furious after being delivered
Explosive footage has revealed the moment David Warner exploded after being dropped during Australia’s second innings chase in the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval last July.
Warner was dismissed for battling 60 off 106 balls as Pat Cummins’ men chased a dramatic victory, and the veteran batsman lashed out with an X-rated rant.
The hosts were controversially allowed to change the ball just 36 overs into Australia’s second trip to the crease, and Duke’s ‘old’ ball quickly swung the contest in England’s favour.
Images of The proof The documentary series, soon to be released on Prime Video, captured the tense moment Warner was sent back to the pavilion next to Chris Woakes’ bowling alley.
‘Fucking hit on the top of the fucking shoulder, fucking 41 fucking overs, the fucking ball is fucking new, mate!’ Warner roared as he walked back to the Australian dressing room.

Umpires Joel Wilson and Kumar Dharmasena agreed to change the ball after the first delivery of the 37th over, and the replacement looked much newer and more useful to the bowlers than the original Duke ball.

Australian cricket great Ricky Ponting demanded an investigation into the umpire’s decision
At that point, Warner’s batting partner Usman Khawaja twice asked the umpires about the ball change that ultimately decided the fifth Test, and was incredibly told that there was “nothing else” in the box of replacement balls. so they could choose.
Australian cricket great Ricky Ponting was also incredulous and called for an investigation into the umpiring.
“I cannot understand how two international referees, Joel Wilson and Kumar Dharmasena, who have done this so many times before, have gotten it so wrong,” he said.
“That’s a big moment in this game, potentially a big moment in the Test match, and I think it’s something that needs to be investigated.
“I think it’s a big mistake.”
Armed with a lively ball, which looked suspiciously new, England took advantage of the fifth day to win by 49 runs and level the series at 2-2.
Pat Cummins’ men retained the urn as winners of the previous series.
