At least 10 fire crews rushed to the scene of a house fire that caused an explosion in an inner-city suburb of Brisbane.
Residents reported hearing an explosion on the corner of Bowen Terrace and Oxley Lane, New Farm, at around 9.15am on Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, emergency services found two seriously burned people who were taken to hospital in serious condition.
Three more people were treated for smoke inhalation.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and respect the conditions. Residents are advised to close windows and doors and, if necessary, keep respiratory medications nearby.
The police have established a crime scene.
