A heartwarming new Netflix movie, which has a perfect 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, has dropped on the streaming giant.
Captivated viewers have called Daughters “the most powerful documentary they’ve ever seen.”
In the 2024 premiere, Aubrey, Santana, Raziah and Ja’Ana prepare for a special father-daughter dance with their incarcerated parents, as part of a unique fatherhood program at a Washington, D.C. jail.
In-person visits for these families have been systematically suspended across the United States since 2014 and replaced by video conferencing apps that families must pay for.

The unique program includes dance, touch and celebration that transcends the prison walls.
Inside, the documentary shows parents going through a 12-week Parent Training Program, which prepares them for the intensity of the dance and the emotional fallout.
And the stunning production, which is an eight-year documentary journey by filmmakers Natalie Rae and Angela Patton, has been hailed by viewers, who have flocked to review site Rotten Tomatoes to share their joy.
