A man has been criticized after his wife accused him of infidelity – but he insists his actions were “innocent” and his wife is “crazy and paranoid”.
The 35-year-old recently decided to update his wardrobe and purchased some “silky” and “sexy” high-end boxers ahead of a business trip to Las Vegas.
He shared that it was an out-of-character purchase, as he usually only wears simple “well-worn” white briefs.
“My wife noticed them in my luggage the day before my flight and accused me of cheating,” he shared on Reddit.
“I think she’s paranoid and frankly crazy. I told him this directly and slept on the other side of the bed that night. I don’t know what to expect from her when I get home.
A man decided to update his wardrobe and bought “silky” boxers before a business trip
Relationship expert Louanne Ward previously revealed the subtle signs your partner is cheating, including a sudden change in wardrobe or personal preferences.
“Be wary of a significant change in personal style, whether it’s fashion, music or personal taste,” she said.
“Sometimes it indicates that someone else has influence. »
A private investigator also noted that new clothes are a sign of infidelity after years of catching cheating spouses.
Many were tired of the behavior of Reddit users.
“You acted out of character and then were very rude to your wife. Your behavior and response makes you seem suspicious,” one woman noted.
“So why did you decide to change your underwear style, specifically for a business trip?” » » was asked.
“Yes, I need to know that too,” replied another. “Who will see them? Why not buy and wear pretty underwear for your wife to see?
But some didn’t see the problem with a man changing his style.
“I wouldn’t call silky boxers ‘sexy,’ but to each their own. If you needed new underwear and wanted to try something new, that doesn’t indicate cheating. Your wife overreacted. At the end of the day, it’s just underwear,” one man wrote.
