The hilarious first trailer for My Old A**, starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza, debuted Thursday.

The coming-of-age comedy-drama stars rising star Maisy as 18-year-old Elliott, who spends her last summer on her family’s blueberry farm before heading off to college in Toronto.

After a magic mushroom-induced mishap, Elliott meets his future self (Plaza), who warns him not to fall in love with a visiting worker on his father’s farm, played by Wednesday’s student Percy Hynes White.

“I’m pretty attractive for a middle-aged man,” the younger Elliott tells the older Elliott, to which the latter jokes, “I’m a young adult.”

Written and directed by Megan Park, My Old A** also stars Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks, and is produced by Margot Robbie.

My Old A** is Park’s second film, following The Fallout, a 2021 drama about a fictional school shooting starring Jenna Ortega.

Park is perhaps best recognized for her role as Grace Bowman on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

The trailer shows Elliott preparing to leave for college and determined to make her last summer at home one to remember.

To celebrate her 18th birthday, she and her best friends head to a remote island for a mushroom trip.

She and her closest friends set off to a secluded island to try magic mushrooms.

At first, Elliott feels no effects from the mushrooms, but then comes face to face with a woman who insists that she is the future Elliott, played by Aubrey Plaza.

This future version of Elliott gives her a stern warning: stay away from anyone named Chad. Elliott thinks this will be pretty simple.

However, when she runs into Chad (Percy Hynes White), the very person she’s supposed to be avoiding, her plans become complicated.

As he spends more time with Chad, Elliott begins to reconsider his older self’s advice.
