A mum has been criticized for the “disgusting” school lunches she prepares each week, with hundreds of people criticizing her “time-saving” trick.
The mother prepares sandwiches for her children every Sunday throughout the week.
‘My kids love peanut butter sandwiches, so I started a new routine. Every Sunday I eat a whole loaf of bread and make as many sandwiches as possible,” she shared on Facebook.
‘Then I store them in my refrigerator for the kids’ lunch bags throughout the week. It makes my morning routine easier.’
Hundreds of other parents were quick to call her “lazy” and said the food would become soggy and stale before the end of the week.

“Personally, I can’t even wrap my head around the idea of making sandwiches for my kids the night before, let alone at the beginning of the week and putting them in the refrigerator,” said one.
‘That nasty! “They will be disgusting after a day or two,” added a second. ‘Poor boys! Take 30 seconds to make a sandwich or get up five minutes early.’
‘Someone is lazy. Do them the night before or get up five minutes earlier. Your kids deserve a fresh lunch!’ another wrote.
“I’m so glad my mom didn’t do this for me…that sandwich on Friday would be kind of normal,” one woman added.
One mother said it gave her “nightmares.”
“I used to throw mine away when I was a kid. Just fresh peanut butter sandwiches. It should be eaten within minutes of preparation,” she said.
‘Wow. I feel really spoiled now that I have a fresh sandwich behind me. “I was always jealous of my friends with chocolate cake, rolls and poppers, but it seems I didn’t have as bad a time as a freshly made sandwich,” said another mother.
Some disagreed with single-use plastic bags, but others applauded the mother’s clever idea.
‘My mother used to make sandwiches and freeze them. They would be perfectly timed when lunchtime arrived. I remember her cream cheese, raisin, and walnut sandwich was my favorite!’ One shared.
‘I am the oldest of eight. On Sunday nights my mother made 60 sandwiches for the week,” another wrote.
