Surveillance footage captured the moment a father of two was shot and killed by thieves trying to steal a golf cart from a farmers market.
Damon Price, 36, was working at the Houston Farmers Market Thursday morning when police say two people walked in and tried to steal a golf cart.
Price had been helping search delivery trucks when the incident unfolded and tried to stop the robbers, when he was shot several times.
The two suspects were then caught on camera fleeing the scene, leaving him for dead in the parking lot.
On Friday, ABC13 reported that a 14-year-old boy was now in custody in connection with his death.
Damon Price (pictured right), 36, was working at the market, helping to register delivery trucks just before 4:20 a.m. Thursday.

Price’s ex-wife, Cheterria Alexander, with whom he shares a 14-year-old daughter and 4-year-old daughter, learned of Prince’s death while on her way to a chemotherapy appointment.
“Put the guns down. The man was just working trying to support his kids and his family,” Alexander told KTRK.
‘He has a family just like you have a family. We are taking a loss. They should take a loss too,’ said Price’s ex-wife, Cheterria Alexander. ‘I just ask that justice be done. Whoever did this to him, turn yourself in. He had babies. What if it were you?
