A mother has sparked a fierce debate online after revealing the “creepy” way she chooses a baby’s name.
Haley Brooks Hodge, who resides in North Carolinarecently took to TikTok to candidly explain how she was deciding on a new nickname for her unborn daughter.
The content creator, who has built a loyal fan base of more than 114,000 followers on the video-sharing platform, is already a mother of three children.
But, with baby number four due in the coming weeks, she opened up about the unconventional method she was using to choose a name, causing quite a stir on social media.

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than two million times, Haley could be seen wearing a flowy pink dress that highlighted her burgeoning baby bump.
He walked across a patch of grass before stopping to look at a sign indicating he was visiting the Old Smithville Cemetery in Southport.
The overlay text read: “When cemeteries have the cutest names, you take the family to find a girl’s name.”
The clip then shows the entire family going through the tombstones to choose the perfect nickname.
Explaining what was happening, Haley announced: ‘We’re trying to find Sissy’s name.
“That’s a big deal and we can show you how we found your name.”
The group looked at the headstones and read options aloud, including James, Julian, Fisher, Ella and Galloway.
Sharing a view of the cemetery, he then filmed a selection of concrete structures in the middle of the cemetery.

Haley wrote: ‘Did you know that families used to come to cemeteries to have a picnic with their loved ones? They are even made to be a table.
Returning his focus to the task at hand, he continued listing off a list of potential names, including Salem, Bunny, Winnie, Vienna, and Olympus.
As expected, Haley’s video was flooded with comments, with viewers left bitterly divided in the comments.
