Sushant Mittal (pictured) has pleaded guilty to over 100 driving offences.

A former private school student turned hoon who has lived a privileged, consequence-free life could soon face jail time after he filmed himself speeding in luxury cars and letting them drive alone in cruise control.

Sushant Mittal, 20, was questioned in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to more than 100 driving offences, including reckless conduct endangering life.

Magistrate Malcolm Thomas unleashed on the former student of Haileybury, a private co-educational school with a secondary school fee of almost $40,000 a year, labeling him a “spoiled and entitled fool”, nine news reported.

‘He risks death and traumatic brain injuries and is happy to leave families destroyed… For the likes? So he seems like a great hero? Judge Thomas commented.

The court heard that Mittal and his twin brother regularly filmed themselves playing in AMGs and BMWs bought by their parents before sharing the footage on TikTok under the name ‘Sushi on Fire’.

His brother was sentenced earlier this year and managed to avoid spending time behind bars – a reprieve that Mittal was warned might not be granted.

Footage of Mittal, filmed when he was 18 and 19, showed him putting his vehicle on cruise control before getting into the passenger seat, letting the vehicle drive itself on three occasions.

One clip showed Mittal speeding through the Dominion Tunnel with both hands on his phone instead of the steering wheel.

He then moved from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat as his brother encouraged him.

Other images showed Mittal reaching 262km/h and overtaking 40 cars in 40 seconds while driving at 187km/h down the Monash Highway.

Justice Thomas called Mittal’s behavior “absolutely foolish.”

‘He doesn’t realize. He has not looked at the photos, nor the victim impact statements. And neither have a large number of young men who want to behave similarly for pleasure or to feel powerful,” he said.

Even Mittal’s own defense lawyer called him “scandalous and idiotic.”

The court heard that both he and his brother “never had to take responsibility for anything in their lives”, while Magistrate Thomas criticized Mittal as “immature, spoiled and protected from a lack of consequences”.

Mittal currently works as a manager of a supermarket owned by his father.

He was given the position after deciding he did not want to complete his Victorian Certificate of Education.

When Mittal was arrested in April 2023, he denied committing the harassment offenses and instead attempted to blame friends and family.

He has reportedly been excluded from his social circle as a result.

The 20-year-old was arrested under Operation Achilles, which was established by Victoria Police in 2021 as a crackdown on hoon drivers.

Mittal, who moved to Australia 10 years ago, will be sentenced next month with the possibility of time behind bars on the table.

Despite the court hearing, he would be vulnerable in custody due to his privileged upbringing.
