A McDonald’s customer was left stunned after being delivered to her home with an empty wrapper without the cheeseburger she had ordered.
The woman, who lives in Sydney, ordered the cheeseburger and fries through the Uber Eats app last Tuesday.
She uploaded a video to TikTok to reveal that she received nothing except an empty McDonald’s wrapper.
“I tried to order a cheeseburger and they said no to everything, so this is what they sent me,” she said.
The woman lifted the wrapping paper to show that there was nothing inside.
She said she initially thought the freak accident was “some kind of sick joke” when she discovered the wrapping paper had oil stains on it.
The woman claimed there was a technical glitch while she was trying to place the order online, resulting in all of the burger’s ingredients being removed.
Although she was disappointed to see the burger missing, the woman said the packet of chips was delivered.

McDonald’s and Uber Eats are believed to be investigating the issue.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia that they are committed to serving customers to the best of their ability.
“We are looking into this and encourage the customer to contact our Customer Care team so we can look into it further,” the spokeswoman said.
The Sydney woman is just one of several customers who have taken to social media to claim they received empty orders.
In April, Mel said she ordered a double Big Mac and was ready to enjoy her meal when it was delivered to her doorstep.
However, she was shocked to discover that the burger box was completely empty.
She revealed on Facebook that the cause was a technical error.
“There was a glitch in the Uber Eats app and it somehow deselected all the ingredients,” he wrote.
“Macca’s staff must have thought I was lost and just sent me an empty box.”
The receipt showed that all eight ingredients that make up a Double Big Mac were missing, including the beef patties and bun.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Uber Eats for comment.
