Martha Stewart was forced to pull Drew Barrymore away mid-interview after the TV host began patting her shoulder.
The businesswoman, 83, was a guest on Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, which set out to celebrate her legacy and pay tribute to her as the “original” influencer.
However, the interview went a little off topic when Drew, 49, bit his finger and jokingly asked Martha, “What makes you soft and sticky?”
In the end, Martha responded, “Soft and sticky treatment.”
‘A soft, sticky treatment?’ Repeated Drew, a mother of two, as she proceeded to begin caressing her guest’s arm. —When they treat you like a lady?

Drew bit his finger and jokingly asked Martha, “What makes you soft and sticky?”
“It’s nice,” Martha confirmed.
‘When someone walks in…’ Drew continued, but before she could complete her sentence, Martha rejected her as she said, ‘you’re the wrong gender!’
“I know, I know,” the ET actress relented as she plopped down dramatically on the couch.
“Though, the way things are going with men, Martha, I’m not so sure anymore.”
However, the awkward moment soon ended when one of Drew’s dogs approached the couch, creating a nice distraction.
The Hollywood talent then praised his guest for “opening the doors to everyone” throughout her life.
“As much as we are here to honor you today, I also want to thank you for honoring all the people you have influenced in the world,” he said.
Drew is no stranger to getting up close and personal with her guests on the show.

ET actress Drew finally gave in and fell dramatically on the couch.
Last December, she was criticized as “clingy, creepy and embarrassing” for caressing Oprah Winfrey’s arm during an interview.
More recently, his interview technique was called “invasive” by uncomfortable viewers after he sat near Austin Butler on the couch.
In August, Drew explained why he sits so close to his celebrity guests and revealed that being a people person is his main motivation.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: “Well, I’ll try to practice physical distancing, which is not my strong suit.”
‘Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio. I like being surrounded by people.
‘It’s not everyone’s favorite, but I feel sorry for those people.
“I think, first of all, we’re always going to have a lot of joy and laughter and feel good, and that was something I always wanted to do, but I never thought we would throw ourselves into a pandemic and try to lean into the joy.” and the feel-good vibe and comedy at that time was really strange and wacky.”
