Oaknorth co-founder Rishi Khosla says UK is ‘less attractive’ than other markets
Tech unicorn Oaknorth says London’s public markets look “less attractive” than its international peers as it mulls a potential listing.
Rishi Khosla, co-founder of the digital business bank, added to the criticism of the capital, saying: “The UK hasn’t done its best on branding in the last two, three, four years… really since the referendum on Brexit.” ,’ he told City AM.
“We just haven’t gone out and built the UK’s reputation as the place where things happen.” The lender has been considering a float but said the UK was “less attractive” than other markets.
He insisted that no decision had been made. Oaknorth was valued at £2.2bn in 2019. Its profits reached £187m in 2023, an increase of 23 per cent.
