Australian-born Queen Mary cut a chic figure in an unbuttoned white sleeveless shirt and matching sun hat. She completed her look with black sunglasses and minimalist gold jewellery.

Mary cut an elegant figure in a blazer in Denmark’s national colour, deep red. The stylish royal paired her blazer with a sun hat and dark blue-framed sunglasses, to protect her from the glare of the sun.

Her look was completed with several pieces of jewelry, including gold hoop earrings and layered gold necklaces.

Meanwhile, Princess Benedicta sported a polo shirt in the same shade, which she also paired with a straw hat.

On that day, Queen Mary was photographed meeting the rider, while the women smiled for a photograph alongside Mary’s friend Helle Trolle.

The event, in which Cathrine and Freestyle led the list of competitors, was a qualifier for both the team and individual finals.

Speaking about his performance at the time, the jockey said: ‘I feel very relieved and super proud.

“Today’s freestyle performance was amazing. My plan today wasn’t to pressure her into doing anything, but to just see what she offered, and what she did today was simply something she offered to me.”

Freestyle had previously been ridden by British rider Charlotte Dujardin, who was forced to withdraw from the Games following the release of a video purportedly showing her whipping an unknown horse more than 24 times on the legs while at a UK training centre.

The footage, which was reportedly sent to the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) on July 22, resulted in Dujardin, a 39-year-old three-time gold medallist, being suspended pending an investigation.

On July 23, Dujardin confirmed that she was the person in the footage and that the behavior captured in the clip was inappropriate.

Aired on Good Morning Britain on July 24, the video shows Dujardin walking alongside the horse, which was being ridden by a 19-year-old woman, while she whipped its legs.
