Kenny Pickett’s brief time in Pittsburgh is reportedly over, as the third-year quarterback was traded from the Steelers to the Eagles.

It appeared Pickett would be Russell Wilson’s backup in Pittsburgh this year after the Steelers signed the former Seahawks and Broncos quarterback to a one-year, $1.21 million contract.

But Pickett will sit behind the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter reporting that the Eagles will send this year’s 98th pick (third round) as well as two 2025 seventh-round picks to land the 25-year-old.

The Steelers will also send the 120th pick to Philadelphia along with Pickett.

Pittsburgh selected Pickett with the 20th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and the quarterback was disappointing in 24 starts over two seasons.

He totaled just 13 touchdowns against 13 interceptions, with just 6.4 yards per attempt last season (27th of 32 passers).

Pickett was even benched for backup Mason Rudolph towards the end of last season.

The Eagles’ trade for Pickett comes after they signed Saquon Barkley to a three-year, $37.75 million contract.

Philadelphia also added linebacker Devin White and returned defensive back CJ Gardner-Johnson.
