Jackie O Henderson turned red when she was confronted live on air by a woman who claimed the radio star had ruined her life.
Angie Chase, 53, told the Kyle & Jackie O Show on Thursday that she appeared on the first episode of the television series Popstars in 2000, when she was 29.
Jackie, who was a judge on the reality show, overheard Angie practicing for her audition in the bathroom and brought in a film crew to capture how awesome she was.
Angie was asked to sing Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” for Jackie and the judges when the radio star hinted that she would make it. But that didn’t happen.
Following Angie’s performance, Sophie Monk, then 19, auditioned for the same song, leading Jackie to drop Angie and choose Sophie instead.
After watching Sophie’s successful career from the sidelines, Angie decided to confront Jackie 24 years later live on KIIS FM’s ‘Remember Me’ segment.
“You chose Sophie over me!” Angie began.
Jackie’s co-host Kyle Sandilands added: “Sophie had a very successful music career.”

Sophie joined Bardot, one of Australia’s biggest girl bands.
The group eventually disbanded after a few years and disbanded in early 2002. But Sophie continued to enjoy a successful television career.
Angie detailed how her life turned out compared to Sophie’s.
“She became The Bachelorette. I became a spinster living in Woy Woy with a cat and a fake Louis Vuitton bag. That should have been real! That’s from the Louis Vuitton store in Bali.”

Jackie then wondered if Angie was jealous of Sophie’s career.
—Do you often look at Sophie and think, “That should have been me! If only that bitch Jackie had chosen me!” the radio queen asked.
“I can’t look at a rose without having a nervous breakdown,” Angie replied.
“I could have been on The Bachelorette, Jackie. I could have been engaged to a rock star and living in Hollywood. Instead, I’m living in Woy Woy!” she added.
After Jackie asked her what Angie does now, the former Popstars contestant said: “I’m a hairdresser. Thanks Jackie. I had to go back to TAFE.”
