Jackie ‘O’ Henderson made an explosive confession on Wednesday morning when she revealed to Sunrise host Natalie Barr that she was ‘high’ during one of her previous interviews in 2022.

The radio star, 49, recently shocked listeners when he admitted his prescription pill addiction issues during a tearful conversation with his KIIS FM co-host Kyle Sandilands on their Kyle and Jackie O show.

Now, after revealing the harrowing details of her struggle in her memoir The Whole Truth, Jackie revealed she was once high while doing an interview for Sunrise with Nat, 56, about her Weight Watchers ambassadorship.

‘I think I interviewed you a couple of times during that time (of your addiction). I came to your house,’ Nat said Wednesday during his latest interview with the media personality.

‘Yes, oh my God, you did. Well, that’s when I was into it,” Jackie confessed, referring to the peak of her addiction, which saw her consume up to 12 Stilnox sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine Forte tablets a day, often with alcohol.

—Were you on drugs then? Nat said, stunned. ‘Can you remember that interview?’

‘Yes, I can remember,’ Jackie said slowly as she tried to remember the details of the interview in question, which took place in August 2022, just a few months before she was admitted to the Betty Ford Clinic for drug and alcohol addiction in the A WE.

‘I mean, we were doing the Weight Watchers interview. I remember feeling like a fraud at the time.’

“Every once in a while I would have to do something like an interview with you and I would do my hair and makeup,” Jackie continued.

“Maybe you’d think I’m happy and, you know, what a great life I have, but it was the complete opposite.”

In Jackie’s 2022 Sunrise interview with Nat, the radio host was being questioned at home about her second attempt at losing weight with Weight Watchers, which is now called WW.

Jackie seemed to be all smiles during the talk and seemed able to follow the conversation, giving no indication that she was high on prescription drugs at the time.

The confession comes just weeks after Jackie opened up about the shocking way she gained access to prescription medication during the height of her struggle with addiction.

“Prescription drug addiction requires effort, in the form of doctor shopping, which was exhausting and embarrassing,” Jackie began on her KIIS FM radio show.

‘I knew it because I had done it when I was taking Endone. You have to look for different medical centers every month. When a new patient shows up and asks for strong painkillers, they are immediately suspicious.’

Jackie later revealed that rather than deal with the challenges of going to the GP, she decided it was easier to access her medications on the black market.

‘I had a stroke of good luck (or incredibly bad luck) when I met someone who was able to access prescription medication for me. It was very doubtful, but I took the risk anyway.

“Not only was my problem solved, but even better, I was able to get a stronger codeine pain reliever, Panadeine Forte.”

The presenter added that she was forced to quit smoking after her distributor was arrested, cutting off her supply completely.

‘My mobile phone rang. It was my supplier, calling me to inform me that they had been arrested. Just like that, I no longer had access to my pills,” he said.

“This was the moment I had been dreading, where I would finally have to address my addiction and somehow kick a habit I had been enjoying for years.”

Jackie has revealed that at the height of her addiction she was taking up to 12 Stilnox sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine Forte pills a day, often with alcohol.

Jackie has now revealed that she was once high while doing an interview for Sunrise in her own home with Nat about Weight Watchers, who she was an ambassador for at the time, just a few months before entering rehab.

The KIIS FM star admitted on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that he secretly checked into the Betty Ford Clinic for drug and alcohol addiction in November 2022.

Jackie admitted that she was advised not to reduce her pill use before arriving at the clinic, meaning she was still using the substances on the day she flew to the United States.

When Jackie took a break from the show in 2022, Kyle Sandilands told listeners that he was stepping away to “focus on his health” after contracting COVID-19.

However, behind the scenes, the beloved radio host was battling an addiction that had gotten out of control.

The veteran presenter said she wanted to speak publicly about her battle with addiction to reduce the ‘stigma’ around drug addiction and ‘normalise’ it.

The host bravely apologized to listeners for not disclosing her health issues sooner and revealed that she would be two years sober in a matter of weeks.
