Australian nurse Hayli Hooper received a comment

An Australian nurse was left shocked and confused after a stranger commented on her outfit during a quick shopping spree.

Hayli Hooper, from WA, went to Kmart to buy household items after visiting the gym in February and was wearing a red sports bra, pink shorts with matching trainers and a hat.

The 38-year-old told FEMAIL she was standing near the women’s clothing display when an older woman, believed to be in her 40s, spoke to her effusively.

“She looked me up and down, grabbed her youngest son’s hand and said, ‘You should be ashamed, cover yourself!'” Hayli said.

Then the angry woman pulled the boy’s hand and walked away.

“It took me a moment to realise what I had said. I was in shock, just 50 metres away was the sportswear area. All my clothes were from Kmart, bought a month earlier,” Hayli said.

“What idiocy. If the woman had set foot in a gym, she would have noticed I was wearing a totally normal outfit. All you could see was an inch of my stomach and some normal cycling shorts and I can’t get around the fact that I have big boobs.

“Why am I the negative image here? Someone who is fit and healthy. Honestly, the way he said it, he might as well have spat on me.”

The “disgusting” outburst left Hayli in disbelief and wondering how someone could be so terrible.

Hayli works as a nurse and creator of Only Fans, and unfortunately this is not the first time she has been rejected for her outfit.

A week earlier, she had visited a nice restaurant wearing a tight skirt and an orange Kmart blouse with a drawstring waist.

A staff member quickly told Hayli that the business does not tolerate “beachwear” and an argument broke out before she was asked to leave.

Both situations upset Hayli and she later discovered that the restaurant had blocked her on social media.

The explosion

Earlier this year, another young woman claimed she was told to leave a gym because her clothes “didn’t fit” the dress code.

Emi Romerofrom Colorado, felt ‘shocked’ and ’embarrassed’ when a staff member confronted her about her attire due to the gym’s policy preventing women from wearing back-covered sports bras.

However, the 28-year-old, who is five months pregnant, believes she didn’t break any rules by opting for camouflage leggings paired with a brown tank top that didn’t show off her midriff.

“Honestly, at first I felt really embarrassed and wanted to cry because I was already feeling a bit insecure about the changes of pregnancy,” Emi told FEMAIL.

“As time has gone by, I have become more frustrated and disappointed.”

In a now-viral TikTok video, Emi recounted the dilemma while filming herself in her car.

“So I’m wearing this tank top today, right?” he said.

“And the owner’s wife is staring at me the whole time I’m working out. And the owner comes up to me in the middle of my workout and says, ‘Listen, my wife has a problem with what you’re wearing right now. We don’t allow sports bras.'”

Emi, confused, said she knew about the period and that she wasn’t wearing a sports bra.

But she said the owner replied: ‘No, I agree with you, but it’s very difficult for my wife to tell the difference between what’s a sports bra and what’s not… so you’ll have to leave or put on a T-shirt.’

Emi said she looked around and saw other women exercising wearing “super short shirts” and showing “their entire stomachs.”
