The Denver Broncos’ practice plans for Friday were canceled by Hurricane Helene, forcing the team to practice on indoor tennis courts.
The team has been staying at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia this week after playing the Buccaneers in Tampa, as a way to avoid another long flight back to the East Coast this week when they play the Jets.
And although practices seemed to go smoothly earlier in the week, the team was forced to enter the resort’s tennis center on Friday, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR.
The reporter shared a video from a tent outside that showed windy and rainy conditions outdoors.
The Greenbrier website describes its tennis center as “state-of-the-art” and says it is equipped with locker rooms and a pro shop.

The Greenbrier in West Virginia, where the Broncos stay, has an indoor tennis facility.
While the Broncos’ decision to practice and stay at The Greenbrier may now be criticized by fans, it is not the first time a Sean Payton-led team has spent time there.

As a result of the weather conditions in North Carolina, Appalachian State’s home game against Liberty on Saturday has been canceled.
The game in Boone, North Carolina, will not be rescheduled, according to a statement on the Mountaineers’ official website.
Meanwhile, the Broncos will face the Jets at 1 pm ET.
