“Kevin Costner has been telling people that he plans to return for at least one cameo and possibly more, but there are currently no talks for him to do so,” Puck News’ Matthew Belloni reported.
“Even if Costner significantly reduces his financial demands and time commitment, Sheridan may not want to bother reopening his finished scripts to accommodate John Dutton’s farewell. But Yellowstone fans would certainly love it, something Costner knows and hopes to take advantage, as he always does.
Last year, during a profile of Sheridan, The Hollywood Reporter reported that there were “ongoing discussions” with Costner to film the show’s final episodes. However, at that time the scripts were not yet finished.

“We’re rumored to be back in May,” Bohen, 47, said at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscar party in West Hollywood earlier this month.
He added that Yellowstone would probably film “this summer and then we should start in November or so.”
Bohen also clarified that the start dates were not set in stone, so “it could be June,” he added.
The series would “film six episodes” before airing them starting in “November, maybe December.”
He even suggested that the hit series could schedule its final episode for the biggest television night of the year.
“Then we go through the holidays and maybe the season finale, the series finale maybe the Super Bowl,” the actor said.

He added: “It’s going to be great, so we just want to make the most of the time more than anything.”
Bohen also clarified that he hasn’t seen any scripts for the final six episodes yet, but he was sure fans would be pleased with the send-off.
“You’ll get the best, most satisfying ending the show could have from the mind of our creator,” Bohen stated. “Taylor (Sheridan) is going to speak to the audience, so it will be worth the wait, so we thank everyone for waiting.”
He has been with Yellowstone since its first season as ranch hand Ryan, but Bohen was promoted to the main cast starting in season four.
