Furious Green Day fans have taken to social media to slam Ticketmaster’s pricing for the punk rock band’s upcoming Australian tour, with prices rising to more than $500 per ticket.

Last week, the American rock band announced it will bring its Saviors stadium tour to Australia in March 2025, after promising to return to the country a year ago.

However, fans are unhappy with Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model, which sees ticket prices rise in line with consumer demand.

The cheapest tickets for the show cost just over $200, while getting a seat at the venue currently costs more than $500.

Disgruntled Australian fans took to social media on Tuesday to vent their frustration.

“It’s shameful and elitist,” one person criticized, while another added: “dynamic pricing is outrageous.”

“The government needs to put an end to this,” a third person added.

“Green Day, red flag,” wrote another furious fan.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool, who last performed here in 2017, will kick off the Australian leg of their tour in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on March 1.

They will then fly to Engie Stadium in Sydney on March 3 and CBUS Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on March 5.

Green Day will celebrate 20 years since their hit album Dookie, followed 10 years later in 2004 by their hit punk rock opera American Idiot.
