George Schenck, a producer and writer who worked on the iconic series NCIS for 15 years, has died at the age of 82.

The Hollywood executive passed away at his Brentwood home on August 3, according to Variety.

Schneck’s credits include production roles on Dying to Remember, Crazy Like a Fox and It Came Upon the Midnight Clear.

He served in numerous roles on the first 15 seasons of the legendary series NCIS, working as a producer and writer.

NCIS star Mark Harmon paid tribute to Schenck in a statement.

“I am very sorry to hear the news about George,” he said. “George and Frank’s professionalism and tenacity changed the face of the program. I am very grateful for the team and the teamwork they both represented.”
