On Tuesday the court dropped the charge of aggravated driving without a proper vehicle, and Cairo’s lawyer asked for the sentence to be handed down as soon as possible.

His lawyer said Cairo was “devastated” by the events.

Cairo and members of the Clark family declined to speak outside court.

The 28-year-old will remain free on bail until his next appearance in July.
