Billionaire Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest has unceremoniously dumped a food supplier at his company’s mines over its “inedible” meals.

Mining magnate Fortescue parted ways with French caterer Sodexo after receiving dozens of complaints from FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) workers about the food.

Fortescue informed his employees that Sodexo’s catering contract extension had not been extended this week.

Sodexo had been feeding workers at Fortescue’s Christmas Creek, Cloudbreak, Kantama and Nyidinghu camps in the Pilbara.

Photos of the food shared online by workers show a BLT sandwich barely stuffed with a slice of tomato, some worn-out-looking lettuce, and a few small pieces of bacon.

FIFO workers told the west that the food “was always disgusting.”

“The food they serve is almost always disgusting, sometimes it’s completely inedible,” said an anonymous Christmas Creek worker.

“(They) are foods I wouldn’t even feed to my pets.”

A spokesperson for Sodexo’s Australian subsidiary thanked Fortescue for his “collaboration over the years” and added that it was “proud of our team’s spirit of service.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Sodexo for comment.
