Belgium will make its first appearance in the women’s basketball semi-finals on Friday 9 August, when it competes against France for a place in the final. France defeated Germany in the quarter-finals to secure its place in the semi-finals.

The semi-final between the United States and Australia will also be played on Friday. The winners and losers of each match will play the gold and bronze medal finals respectively on Sunday, August 11.

The France vs. Belgium match will be played at the Bercy Arena in Paris and will be streamed live on Peacock on Friday afternoon. There were 12 women’s basketball teams competing at the 2024 Olympic Games. France was automatically selected as the host country. The other countries that qualified are listed below:
