Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was the latest and perhaps the highest-profile Democrat to criticize Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.

Cuomo, who was forced to resign from the governor’s office in 2023 over sexual harassment allegations, criticized the president and his fellow Democrats on several issues on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday.

Maher, who clarified that he feels that Biden, at 81, is too old and should have abandoned the candidacy, wanted Cuomo’s analysis of the campaign he is running now that it appears he will remain in the race.

“Frankly, I don’t think he’s running a particularly good campaign,” Cuomo said. “I think there’s a big question that needs to be answered: his age and his viability.”

Cuomo, 66, said Biden’s campaign and advisers must bring the president into the public eye if they have any chance of convincing the public that he is capable of serving another term.

“I think the only way to respond to that is to come out and let people see you,” he said. “That’s the only way to make it clear.” I don’t think you can hide from that.

Despite being slightly older than his 78-year-old opponent Donald Trump, Biden has constantly faced questions about his age and health.

The president has faced criticism from the media and his opponent Trump for a series of recent blunders, including several public moments in which Biden appeared to completely freeze.

Only 38 percent of likely 2024 voters believe President Joe Biden will be alive at the end of another four-year term, according to an exclusive poll for DailyMail.com.

And that means one thing: Vice President Kamala Harris has the same chance of holding the top job as Biden in January 2029 if he wins re-election.

About 36 percent of likely voters believe Harris will be president at the end of the term. Exactly the same proportion who believe Biden will take the position.

The results show how the 81-year-old president’s age will be a major factor on Nov. 5 when voters choose the commander in chief they want for the next four years.

Biden would be 86 years old at the end of a second term. Donald Trump, his Republican rival, is only slightly younger, but voters harbor fewer doubts, and Trump is seen as having a more youthful energy.

Former President Barack Obama had to grab Biden by the arm and drag him off stage when he froze during a fundraiser in Los Angeles on June 15.

Cuomo also attacked Biden and fellow Democrats Kathy Hochul, who took over as governor of the Empire State after he resigned, and New York City Mayor Eric Adams over immigration.

“(Biden’s) immigration policy was a mistake,” Cuomo said. “How you do it makes all the difference in the world.”

‘Just opening the borders without a plan, you don’t know where they’re going, you don’t know who’s going to pay for them. Who did you help?

He criticized Adams and Hochul for not saying no to any of Biden’s ideas without a plan in place.

“Now we’re finding out that 200,000 people later, you needed a plan, you needed to know what to do with these people.”

He also criticized the Manhattan district attorney’s office for bringing its case against Trump, which resulted in convictions on all 34 charges.

Cuomo has faced his own problems with a Democrat-run justice system in the wake of the harassment scandal that cost him his job.

He allegedly subjected at least 13 women to a sexually hostile work environment, a Justice Department investigation released in January found.

The disgraced former leader “repeatedly” harassed staff members and retaliated against those who reported him.

Investigators found that Cuomo made “unwanted and non-consensual sexual contact,” including “ogling”; unwanted sexual comments; nicknames based on gender; comments about his physical appearance; and/or preferential treatment based on his physical appearance.”

Cuomo, hailed as a hero for much of 2020 for his calm response to the COVID crisis, was once touted as a possible presidential candidate.

The sex pest allegations appeared to end Cuomo’s political career, but he has been returning to the spotlight in recent months.

Cuomo’s attorney, Rita Glavin, dismissed the report’s conclusions, saying he had not been contacted for comment and that he did not sexually harass anyone.

He told the New York Times: “This is nothing more than a political agreement without investigation.”

Cuomo has filed a lawsuit to try to get New York State Attorney General Letitia James to release all documentation of her investigation into him.
