Ellidy Pullin, whose story of becoming pregnant with her late partner Alex “Chumpy” Pullin’s sperm inspired millions of Australians, is now facing backlash from her loyal fans over nasty comments she made on a podcast.

During a recent episode of her podcast Darling, Shine!, a listener asked the 31-year-old model about her friendship with her friend and co-host Chloe Fisher.

Her blunt response, in which she complained about having to record the podcast and make time for friends who live in other states, was criticized by some listeners as “petty.”

“We’ve never had a fight. The only fights we have are about the stupid podcast, which stresses us out a lot,” she said of her relationship with Chloe.

‘Because I have other things to do, and so does Coco.’

One fan claimed on a Facebook group that Ellidy’s comment was a “kick in the stomach” to regular listeners.

During the same episode, Ellidy also said she didn’t have time to call her friends who live in other states because she was “busy and didn’t like sitting on the phone.”

“My friends should know that I am a person who likes to relate over long distances,” he said.

“I love them all so much. I make an effort. I go to Sydney all the time. Whatever, even if it’s their guinea pig’s birthday, I’ll get on a plane and I’ll be there.

“I’m trying, but if I’m not down there, I can’t talk to you all the time. I hope you’re okay.”

She went on to say that some of her friends are left “devastated” when she doesn’t respond to their texts or call them back.

“Sometimes people get devastated because I don’t answer or call them back, but I’ve been busy and please don’t take it personally, but I can’t stay on the phone,” Ellidy said.

‘Don’t base our friendship on how many minutes I talk to you on the phone and all that shit.’

This comes after Ellidy recently said she was finally open to new love, four years after the shocking death of her partner Chumpy.

The Olympic snowboarder was 32 when he drowned while spearfishing on the Gold Coast in July 2020, but through an incredible process of IVF and sperm retrieval, Ellidy was able to have his baby, a girl named Minnie.

She recently opened up about her life with her daughter and her kelpie cross, Rummi.

He said there was still some sperm from his late partner available if he wanted “another Chumpy bubba,” but he was considering other options.

“I see myself having a baby one day with someone else, maybe in five years, but I can’t really imagine getting married,” she told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Ellidy revealed that while she wasn’t at the point where she wanted to date someone long-term yet, she had had a few flings while on vacation.

“What happens in Bali can stay in Bali, but I can’t imagine bringing anyone home,” he told the publication.

“We’ve never had a fight. The only fights we have are about the stupid podcast, which stresses us out a lot,” she said.

«Right now I’m very happy with all three of them: me, Minnie and Rummi.»

She said Rummi gave her a reason to get up in the morning after Chumpy’s sudden death in the winter of 2020.

The kelpie needed her walks, so they would get up at 5am and walk along the beach for an hour, which Ellidy said was “therapy and meditation” for her and kept her grounded.

Rummi was Chumpy’s dog, who loved him so much that the model sometimes felt like a “third wheel”, but now the kelpie never leaves her side.

She said that part of Rummi, and part of her, is still waiting for Chumpy to come back through the door and that she even has a recurring dream in which that happens.
