This is the crazy moment a suspected porch pirate appears when a delivery driver drops off a package and snatches it before fleeing.

A homeowner in Columbus, Ohio, took to social media for help after a small package containing an Apple Watch was snatched from the delivery driver who was dropping it off.

The brazen thief allegedly grabbed the package, belonging to owner Kyle Dorsch of northwest Ohio, on Monday afternoon.

“I saw the guy run away. I’m still trying to process what happened,” Dorsch said.

“While we were home in the middle of the day, they didn’t wait for the delivery guy to come off the porch, they jumped in real quick and left,” he said. WSYX.

Columbus Police reported that package thieves are increasingly becoming a problem for residents.

“Package thefts are everywhere,” said Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua.

Thieves now opt for small packages, he said. ABC.

‘Cell phone or smart watch; smaller technology that people can sell on the secondary market for a lot of money,” Fuqua said.

‘We believe in some of those cases; Somehow, some of these suspects are gaining access to tracking numbers to determine when and where a package is recovered,” Fuqua said.

Other homeowners in Ohio neighborhoods are experiencing similar crimes. “We have a ring camera and it’s not a deterrent; they still accept packages,” Short North resident Jessica Alvarado said.

‘It’s quite violating, someone is almost inside our house, taking things. “It’s an unsettling feeling,” he said.
