Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have sold their sprawling California mansion for a whopping $96 million.

The television personality purchased the 10-acre property in the town of Carpinteria in 2022 for $70 million, marking the largest real estate deal ever in Santa Barbara County.

Property records obtained by The Wall Street Journal shows he sold the clifftop home for $96 million less than two years later to an entity linked to mining magnate Robert Friedland.

When DeGeneres purchased the Tuscan-style mansion in the star-studded town of Carpinteria, the home boasted more than 9,000 square feet, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms on three levels.

The house featured high ceilings with exposed wood beams, hardwood floors, stone arches and marble details.

The master suite features a terrace equipped with a spa, as well as two dressing rooms and bathrooms.

Located near Santa Barbara and Montecito, the estate features a private cliff-side beach.

Carpinteria is also home to stars such as Kevin Costner and filmmaker George Lucas.

DeGeneres and Friedland apparently swapped homes, with records showing the famous couple paid $32 million to buy back a Santa Barbara home they sold to him earlier this year for the same amount.

In July, DeGeneres announced she would be “done” with showbiz once her special was released on Netflix.

The 66-year-old comedian is in the midst of her Ellen’s Last Stand… Up farewell tour, the final shows of which will be filmed for the streaming service.

Her last tour was in 2018, four years before her daytime talk show ended amid a firestorm of accusations about her “toxic” work environment.

Last month, on stage in Santa Rosa, she spoke about her departure from the spotlight and joked that next time she will be cancelled for being “old, gay and evil,” according to Gate of Saint Francis.

DeGeneres recently announced that she will be “done” with showbiz once her Netflix special premieres and is in the midst of her farewell tour.

Asked if he might return at some point in the future, he firmly ruled out that possibility.

“This is the last time you’ll see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done,” DeGeneres said of her upcoming hour-long special, which will film this fall.

“Let me bring you up to date on what’s been happening to me since you last saw me,” he told the audience in Santa Rosa.

“I have chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean.”
