Lady Mary Charteris, who once urged her social media followers to embark on an occasional 24-hour fast, has hit back at trolls who criticised her for being thin.
The 37-year-old model and DJ says becoming a mother to her two-year-old daughter, Wilde, has helped her develop thicker skin.
“Tell me I’m too thin, tell me I need to eat, if that’s what motivates you,” the daughter of the Earl of Wemyss, who is married to rock musician Robbie Furze, says online.
‘Your words don’t bother me because this little person grew inside me, in this strong body, and the love we share protects me from anything negative people have to say about my appearance.’
“Tell me I’m too thin, tell me I need to eat, if that’s what motivates you,” Lady Mary wrote online.
Playing Prince Andrew in The Crown? No worries!
Winning a major role in Netflix’s hit royal drama The Crown would be a career highlight for most young actors, but being cast as Prince Andrew appears to have left Tom Byrne with mixed feelings.
“When the Newsnight special came on and he was on the news, it was a very strange and stressful experience knowing that I had a very specific relationship to all of that,” he tells me on the first night of The 39 Steps, in which he performs, at the Trafalgar Theatre in Whitehall.
However, Byrne adds: “I knew I wasn’t going to play him in that period, so I just let it wash over me and stayed away from it all.”
Newcomer Tom Byrne starred in the fourth season of the hit Netflix show as Prince Andrew.
Let’s face it… Nick Clegg coined it.
He is a failed politician who helped destroy his party, but former Liberal Democrat leader Sir Nick Clegg is becoming richer than the rest of Parliament combined.
I can reveal the former deputy prime minister sold £8.7m worth of Meta shares earlier this month, according to documents filed with the stock exchange.
Clegg is the “president of global affairs” for the American technology giant, which owns Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
Sir Nick Clegg sold £8.7m worth of Meta shares earlier this month, according to stock exchange filings.
He had previously sold £11.99m worth of shares from 2022, bringing his total to almost £21m. And he still owns stock options worth around £12.9m.
Clegg is said to receive more than £15m a year and has worked for Meta since 2018, making his total package worth more than £110m.
He also pocketed £3.6m profit from the sale of his Californian mansion after moving back to the UK. Makes Premier League footballers look underpaid!
iPad designer to design multi-million pound new tablet
Pictured: Sir Jony Ive, British-born designer and leader of Apple’s industrial design team
After purchasing a stunning Cotswolds mansion for £17m last year, Sir Jony Ive, the revered designer of the iPad and iMac, has unveiled plans to improve it.
As I revealed, the neighbours denounced these measures as “more than ridiculous”. However, the city council gave Ive the green light.
I can reveal there was one condition: that he fork over a £137,000 “community infrastructure levy” – a paltry sum for Ive, who is worth £200m.
