An injured hiker has been rescued after spending a night on a mountain following a fall.
A helicopter took the man in his 40s and another hiker to safety in Queensland’s Scenic Rim region on Sunday morning.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
A hiker was saved in a dramatic helicopter rescue after falling about 10 meters off a trail in Scenic Rim, Queensland.
He is believed to have fallen between five and ten meters on Saturday and suffered shoulder injuries.
The man and three friends were forced to spend the night on the mountain with lifeguards who had hiked to their location due to poor weather conditions.
The other uninjured hikers were also flown to safety in another rescue helicopter.
