Donald Trump won the swing state of Wisconsin with a surprising victory over Kamala Harris.
He claimed victory in the Midwestern ‘Blue Wall’ state after sweeping North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
His victory in Wisconsin puts him above the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency.
The ‘Badger State’ was considered a losing bet in 2024, and neither Donald Trump nor Kamala Harris were expected to be entitled to the 10 Electoral College votes at stake.
According to polling averages, Trump was almost three points ahead of Harris in the week before the election.
Both Trump and Harris spent a good portion of their time in Wisconsin over the past few months.

The former president made his first public appearance since being shot in the ear on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, just two days later.
Speaking at the Republican National Convention, he raised a fist toward the crowd, his ear covered by a large white bandage.
Harris supporters watched in disbelief as the results came in Tuesday.

The former president has a complicated relationship with Milwaukee after receiving backlash for calling it a “horrible city” the week before the convention.
“Milwaukee, where we will hold our convention, is a horrible city,” he told congressional Republicans.
But Trump’s relationship with Wisconsin did not appear to suffer after those comments.

He was recently hanging out in Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers with legendary quarterback Brett Favre.
He trolled Joe Biden and Kamala Harris riding in a MAGA garbage truck to that rally in response to Biden’s comments calling his supporters “trash.”
The former president approached reporters on the Green Bay track and leaned out the window to answer questions before his event in the battleground state.
‘What do you think of my garbage truck? “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,” he told waiting media while wearing an orange work vest.

The former president donned a neon garbage truck driver’s vest on stage at his rally in Green Bay.
“For Joe Biden to make that statement is really a disgrace,” he added before speaking to supporters as Harris addressed her own supporters in a different part of the state.
Trump was referring to comments made by Biden, 81, who referred to his supporters as “trash.”

He returned to Milwaukee to hold rallies with Harris just three days ago.
Trump spent Friday night speaking at an arena in Milwaukee where the NBA Bucks play, the same venue the RNC cleaned up, while Harris was on the street, bringing along special guest Cardi B, who faced an awkward mishap with the teleprompter.
Wisconsin’s Senate race also turned out to be one of the most closely watched in the country.
Trump-backed Eric Hovde gave Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin a shot.
