Disneyland enthusiast Juliet Nuzzo is no stranger to the fantastic park and often shares her tips and knowledge on how to navigate this tourist spot.
Nuzzo recently detailed his “stay or skip” hotels in the Anaheim area of California for those who want the Disney experience without having to shell out park money.
“After visiting over 25 hotels in Anaheim, these are the three I would really return to,” he shared.
All of Nuzzo’s recommendations are highly rated by other Disney and Anaheim enthusiasts, all with 4.5-star ratings on TripAdvisor.

Hotel Indigo
In third place is Hotel Indigo, an ING hotel.
Nuzzo noted that the hotel costs less than $200 a night and is just a 12-minute walk from Disneyland.
“Indigo has a lot to offer, with Wi-Fi and parking included in the nightly rate,” he shared. “This is something that few hotels in the area do.”
Nuzzo stated that the stay was “a great bang for your buck overall,” from “the friendly staff” to the “fun, colorful room design.”
“Indigo is not trying to be a luxury hotel, it’s just trying to offer the right level of comfort for your stay at Disneyland.”
The hotel is also highly rated on TripAdvisor, ranking 19th out of 115 hotels in Anaheim.

Nuzzo stated that the stay was “a great bang for your buck overall,” from “the friendly staff” to the “fun, colorful room design.”
Hotel Lulu
Number two was Hotel Lulu, which she says her first experience wasn’t the best, but has since upped her game.
Noting its affordability, Nuzzi said he has consistently seen rooms for $180 a night, with an average TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 stars.
The hotel is also a 13-minute walk from Disneyland, according to Google Maps.
“One of my first experiences here was being sent to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet,” he admitted.
Fortunately, the hotel has redeemed itself and is now one of Nuzzi’s favorites in Anaheim.
“The atmosphere of the hotel, the gardens and the pool are fantastic,” she gushed, adding that the rooms are “bright, spacious and very comfortable” and that she loves the little touches, like a welcome drink upon arrival.

Residence Inn by Marriott (Convention Center)
Number one was the Residence Inn by Marriott.
“From the moment I walked into the lobby, I realized, OK, I’m not doing that rundown hotel thing that plagues most of Anaheim,” he shared.
Nuzzo said the Residence Inn rooms are probably his favorite in Anaheim, saying they are huge and have a full kitchen and a separate living room.
“This is a place that, yes, has just been completely renovated from top to bottom,” he explained. “Combine it with included breakfast each morning and a nice ride to Disneyland.”
While the nightly rate is “a little higher,” with the website listing prices from $280 to $600 per night, Nuzzo ranks it as his number one.
