The account, known only as @FresaConCrema313, told her TikTok followers: ‘I ate it immediately. My stomach started hurting immediately.

‘As soon as I got home I didn’t feel well.

‘I found these little worms in my Big Mac. I’m so upset. There were about 10 more when I first opened it.

“Everyone crawled into the burger. Look at that. I ate it.”

She added: “I can’t believe it. No wonder I’m so sick. I’ve never felt so sick in my life.”

‘I go to the bathroom every 15 minutes. I’ve lost seven pounds since eating this.

‘I didn’t know McDonald’s could make you lose weight.

“Now everything makes sense. I have to decide whether I should go to the hospital or not.”

MailOnline has contacted McDonalds for comment.

Britons suffer around 2.4 million cases of food poisoning every year, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), costing the UK up to £9 billion each year.

Meanwhile, in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that about 48 million people get sick from food poisoning each year.

Of these, 128,000 are hospitalized and about 3,000 cases are fatal.
