A mother of four was found dying on her kitchen floor by her six-year-old daughter the night before the family was due to pick up their beloved new puppy.
Rita Manera, 41, was preparing to pick up her niece’s Maltese-Shih Tzu puppy the next day when she suffered a devastating brain hemorrhage on March 31.
Adelaide’s mother was rushed to ICU but was declared brain dead as her heartbroken family struggled to come to terms with her sudden death.
Manera’s niece, Emily Egglestone, said her beloved aunt was not meant to die so soon.
‘He finally got the life he wanted. She finally had her babies,” she said.
Rita Manera was preparing to buy a Maltese Shih Tzu from a local breeder when her six-year-old son found her collapsed on their kitchen floor after suffering a brain hemorrhage on March 31.

“The children are so in love with him and the older ones explain to the younger ones: ‘he’s mom’s puppy and now we’re going to take care of him,'” she said.
Mrs. Manera loved the color purple, elephants and Christmas, but most of all she loved her family.
Egglestone remembers her aunt as someone who was happy all the time and said that if someone lived on love, she would have lived forever.

She installed a GoFundMe page to help his uncle, who is now raising the children alone.
“As a family, all of our hearts are absolutely broken,” she wrote.
“Losing a loved one is never easy, but losing Rita so suddenly and without warning has shaken everyone to their core.
