Congress will hear testimony from four sworn witnesses about America’s strange and troubling UFO problem starting at 11:30am ET on Wednesday morning, and DailyMail.com is on the ground with live updates from inside the United States House of Representatives.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee held open hearings Wednesday. the slightly exaggerated, cable-ready title, ‘Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.’

But it’s no exaggeration to say that the pre-submitted testimony is riddled with harsh accusations of “illegal and unethical disinformation efforts by the Department of Defense (DoD),” a “secret arms race that has been going on for several decades‘reverse engineer crashed UFO technology and’even threats.’

Former NASA advisor says UAP stigma hampers science

Mike Gold advocated for an end to the stigma surrounding UAPs within the US space agency due to their popularity and trust among the public.

“For NASA staff to step forward and participate in such discussions would be a powerful statement to the scientific community that UAPs should be taken seriously and investigated accordingly,” Gold said.

Gold was part of the agency’s independent UAP study group in October 2022, which focused solely on unclassified data.

For nine months, NASA’s IST UAP promised to lay the groundwork for future studies on the nature of UAPs for scientific and other organizations.

Michael Shellenberger has brought with him his anonymous whistleblower’s classified report on the secret UFO program ‘Immaculate Constellation’.

I believe that many of those who read Shellenberger’s research report on the ‘Immaculate Constellation’ – or who I heard him talk about it on Joe Rogan. – could have assumed that he was shown the classified Senate report on the center of his story, but was not allowed to keep a copy.

Apparently, there’s no need to speculate about that now: Shellenberger’s previously written testimony included the journalist and academic waving to the committee for a copy of that report and a promise to share it with House Oversight.

Like much of what happens in the Capitol hearing rooms, there is a bit of theatrics to this, but it was still done under oath and has real weight.

Pentagon chief proposes three actions for transparency

Luis Elizondo proposed three actions to Congress while speaking under oath. He urged Congress and the President to create a single point of contact for military members to report UAP issues.

Next was for the United States to create a national UAP strategy that promotes transparency and aims to restore Americans’ trust “at a time when public trust is at an all-time low.”

Finally, Elizondo urged Congress to create a protected environment for whistleblowers, allowing them to feel safe and protected when coming forward with information.

Former Pentagon UFO Hunter Luis Elizondo Describes a Covert “Arms Race” to Master UFO Technology

Certainly, once the initial prepared testimony has been fully expressed on the record, lawmakers will want to ask Elizondo about his claim that there is a secret Cold War to recover and reverse engineer crashed flying saucers.

“I believe we are in the midst of a decades-long secret arms race,” Elizondo said in his keynote address, “financed by misallocated taxpayer dollars and hidden from our elected representatives and oversight bodies.”

Perhaps Elizondo’s use of the phrase “I believe” can soften the explosiveness of this statement, but it will be fascinating to hear what details Elizondo might be willing to offer about this when asked by the committee.

Former Pentagon UFO Chief Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick Defends His Record, Accuses Navy Witness of Being a ‘Conspirator’

A new controversy has already arrived before a single word has been spoken in the hearing.

Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, former director of the Pentagonis current UFO Investigations into the new All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) have accused the committee’s first witness of being a “still embittered” potential employee.

Responding to Previously written testimony from Rear Admiral Tim GallaudetDr. Kirkpatrick accused the retired government official of harboring “evidence-free conspiratorial tendencies” that made him “unsuitable for a job” at AARO that “required objectivity and evidence-based reason.”

Rear Admiral Gallaudet’s testimony accused AARO of pursuing him for “an hours-long influence operation” that attempted to convince him of “the validity of (AARO’s) seriously flawed historical records report” as part of a “disinformation” effort.

Other errors and omissions in AARO’s brief unclassified report were documented by The report and former Department of Defense official Christopher Mellon.

Who will speak at the House Oversight UFO hearing on Wednesday?

Four witnesses are scheduled to testify today, starting with PhD oceanographer and retired US Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet.

Rear Admiral Gallaudet has become a strong advocate for military witnesses of so-called USOs (submerged underwater objects) since at least 2021.

Next up will be former Pentagon counterintelligence official Luis Elizondo, whose work sending the now-infamous Navy UFO videos to the New York Times in 2017 launched this modern era of public awareness about these strange phenomena.

Michael Gold, attorney and former NASA associate administrator, will speak third, primarily about the need for engaged and transparent scientific research into these unexplained vents.
