Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney was mentioned on the broadcast, not for his efforts in the win over Las Vegas, but for an embarrassing locker room malfunction late in the game.
On Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champions defeated the Raiders in a 27-20 victory in Sin City.
With his team up, 20-13, and the clock approaching the final five minutes, the NC State product’s pants ripped. The tear ran down the back of her left thigh, exposing her stockings beneath her red pants.
As the camera panned around the wardrobe malfunction, Kevin Harlan pointed it out on the broadcast and said, “Thuney has some ripped pants.”
While the incident generated a few seconds of hilarity, it did not affect Thuney’s performance, as he protected Patrick Mahomes and helped the team to victory.

Thuney helped guard Patrick Mahomes as the Chiefs earned a 27-20 victory to move to 7-0.
Mahomes completed 27 of 38 passes for 262 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce had 10 catches for 90 yards and scored his first touchdown this season, keeping his team on top. Kareem Hunt added a rushing touchdown and Xavier Worthy had a touchdown catch.
Kansas City outscored Las Vegas 334-228. The Chiefs converted 12 of 16 third-down opportunities for a 75 percent success rate, and the Raiders converted six of 13 third-down opportunities for a 46 percent success rate.
The victory lifted the Chiefs to an unblemished 7-0 record in their quest for a third title.
Kansas City’s last loss came at the hands of the Raiders, who defeated them on Christmas Day 2023. From there, the Chiefs would sweep all of their games and win the Super Bowl over San Francisco in February.
