A couple with a 37-year age difference has sent the internet into meltdown by claiming they are expecting their first child together via surrogate.
In a rare stunt, 18-year-old grandmother Cheryl McCain, 63, and her husband Quran, 26, from Georgia, announced they will soon welcome a baby boy into the world.
They shared an image of what they claimed was a positive pregnancy test, which looked more like a Covid test, as well as an apparent scan image.
The controversial duo first announced their surrogacy trip in 2022, but canceled it the following May because their surrogate had breached their contract by having unprotected sex with her partner.
But after three surrogates were unsuccessful, the couple now claim online that they finally struck gold with the fourth, sending social media into a tizzy.
Cheryl McCain, 63, and her husband Quran, 26, have caused an internet meltdown by claiming they are expecting their first child together.
After three surrogates failed, the couple now alleges online that they allegedly struck gold with the fourth.
Detailing her scan where they claim a doctor confirmed the pregnancy, Cheryl said: “It was an amazing feeling knowing we were going to have a baby.”
‘We can start our own family. I am happier now than ever.
“It will make our family much happier because we will love the baby unconditionally.”
Quran added: ‘I cried with joy when I found out. This will be my first child.
“I’ve never felt love like that, other than the time I married Cheryl.”
‘Girl or boy, it doesn’t matter. “I’m going to have a baby and we’re going to start our life together,” she joked.
“Although Cheryl will not be the biological mother, blood does not make you family and she will be the best mother.”
After dropping the bombshell, the couple, who have decades of age difference, revealed that the process was full of “emotional stress” and impacted their love life.
“I had to save my sperm for the surrogate mother and we began to miss each other’s needs,” Quran said.
‘We have started working on it now. As soon as we left the surrogacy journey we reconnected romantically.’
‘We can start our own family. “I’m happier now than ever,” Cheryl said.
The controversial man said the process affected his love life because Koran had to “save sperm for the surrogate mother.”
Although the couple is reportedly overjoyed to welcome the baby, many online were apparently unconvinced by their announcement.
“I want to know how this is possible and how this is happening logistically,” one asked.
‘Is this real?’ exclaimed a second, while another joked: ‘My jaw dropped…’
“I don’t know what to say except I hope everything turns out well,” one user added.
Others were quick to congratulate the couple on their most recent announcement, with one writing: “OMG people age only a number.”
“As long as they love each other, leave them alone.”
‘Oh it’s pretty!! I hope everyone has a cute and healthy baby,” one fan shared.
Another clapped: ‘I’m so excited for you all! I’ve been waiting with you all! Congratulations!!!’
Although Cheryl will not be the biological mother of her reported son, she said ‘blood doesn’t make you family’
Cheryl first met Quran when he was just 15 years old while they were both working at fast food chain Dairy Queen.
People were left divided in the comments section of her announcement video, with many unsure if they believed it was real.
Cheryl first met Quran when he was just 15 years old while they were both working at fast food chain Dairy Queen.
They insist there were no romantic feelings at the time, but later hit it off when they met again in November 2020 at a gas station when Quran was 23 years old.
Quran picked up a crying Cheryl and the two began meeting every two weeks to record content together.
The 26-year-old finally confessed to Cheryl that he had feelings for her and they began an intimate relationship in April 2021.
For the controversial couple, their staggering age difference wasn’t a problem, but Cheryl’s kids weren’t too impressed.
‘I have seven children but I only see one of them because the others do not support our relationship. It hurts, it hurts a lot,’ she said.
‘They were my whole life and suddenly I wanted to marry someone I had fallen in love with and they didn’t support it.
“I have 18 grandchildren and I only see three of them.”
Quran proposed to Cheryl on July 31, 2021, and the couple tied the knot in a small ceremony surrounded by two friends the following September.
Quran and Cheryl got married in September 2021 (pictured), however only two of their friends were present as most of Grandma’s children are against their relationship.
The couple insists that they were not romantically interested in each other when Quran was 15, stating that their romantic relationship began when they met again when Quran was 23.
Cheryl said: ‘We didn’t invite anyone to the wedding because there was no one there for us.
It was him, me and our two friends. “We left everyone out and we were happy.”
“It made the day very special for us,” Quran added.
‘We receive a lot of negative comments and we don’t care. We don’t get this far worrying about what people think of us.
“To stay happy, we stay away from the Internet; we don’t need that negativity.”
