Cardi B has addressed allegations that she was trying to sell one of her homes to deal with a “secret” financial crisis.
The 31-year-old WAP rapper, who recently slammed Popeyes for a chicken wing flavor, fell in love with it. X on Monday to hit back after Icy Scoop News claimed she was “facing foreclosure” and “struggling to make payments” on her Atlanta mansion in a post that was since deleted.
‘LMAOOO Lazy bitches I wish… me and Offset would have bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7 check the Atlanta market,’ Cardi B wrote, referencing her rapper husband.
She added: “And no, we’re not selling it… and if I ever did sell it, I’d just sell my share to Offset because he loves Atlanta. Salting my house? How evil.”
The original tweet from Icy Scoop News read: ‘Cardi B’s secret struggle: She’s supposedly trying to sell one of her homes, but is very disoriented. Facing foreclosure, the pressure is mounting as she struggles to make payments. The stakes have never been higher.’

The 31-year-old WAP rapper took to her X on Monday to fire back after Icy Scoop News claimed she was “facing foreclosure” and “struggling to make payments” in a post she since deleted.
The Grammy winner and Offset purchased a $5.8 million mansion in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, in December 2019.
The home features 22,000 square feet with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and four half baths at the couple’s disposal. The entire property sits on 5.84 wooded acres, according to Real estate agent.com
The response comes after Cardi B spoke openly about her finances to Complex in March, discussing his rumored $80 million net worth.
“I feel like I’ve really missed out on $80 million,” he admitted. “I make a lot of money. I make a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of money.”
In August, Cardi and Offset were the targets of a hoax at their Atlanta home.
In a dramatic incident captured on police body camera footage, officers responded to his home in the early hours of August 10, 2023, after receiving reports of a shooting.
According to the police report, a caller claimed shots had been fired at the famous rapper’s residence, raising immediate concern.
The caller even suggested that Cardi B herself might have been hit by a bullet, prompting officers to rush to the scene with sirens blaring and guns at the ready.
However, upon arrival, police quickly determined that the alarming report was nothing more than a hoax.

Music stars have become the latest victims of a hoax, in which a malicious individual falsely reports a violent incident at a celebrity’s home to trigger an emergency response from authorities.
Notable names that have been the subject of similar hoaxes in the past include Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Paris Hilton and manager Marjorie Taylor Greene, as well as the Playboy Mansion.
Cardi and Offset’s purchase of Atlanta came after two years of house hunting, which the presenter attributed to her and her husband’s different tastes.
“In the houses that he liked (Offset) there was always a room that I didn’t like and that we couldn’t agree on. And in a couple of houses that I liked (Offset) I said NO because the areas they were in weren’t (too) good,” she explained via Instagram Story in 2019.
