In a preview of a four-part documentary about women’s college basketball stars, former Iowa guard Caitlin Clark opened up about the difficulties she has dealing with fame.

Clark is one of three players ESPN will focus on in an upcoming special titled ‘Full Court Press.’

A trailer talks about how Clark deals with fame and the people who constantly recognize her throughout the day.

“The hardest part of being Caitlin Clark, I would say, is feeling like you’re always on.

‘You just have bad days and there are days when you don’t want to talk to anyone. But someone approaches you and this is their ten-second interaction with you, so you better smile and be friendly.

“But at the same time it’s like…sometimes you want to be normal.”

Connor McCaffrey, Clark’s boyfriend and former Iowa men’s basketball star, also appeared in the trailer.

‘This is not the same as before. “You and I can’t go and just walk around like no one knows who you are, that’s not the reality of the situation,” she said.

“And I think there are still moments where she realizes that and goes, ‘Damn, that sucks.'”

Clark now faces even more pressure as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft. She is also seen as the savior of the Indiana Fever franchise, who have not appeared in the playoffs for some time.

That college popularity will carry over into your professional career, where the pressure may be greater than ever.

The four-episode series premieres May 11 and 12 on ABC as well as the ESPN+ streaming service.
