Americans are bracing for airport chaos this July 4 as millions of travelers arrive at travel hubs across the country.
According to the TSA, a record 32 million jet setters are expected to be screened at airports between June 27 and July 8, but some passengers will almost certainly be better behaved than others.
Dozens of videos showing shocking airport accidents have gone viral in recent years, with a drunk passenger sparking outrage after slapping a black worker in a vicious racist attack this week.

Can we get Pete Buttigieg on the phone? We have an upset customer
In April of this year, a passenger was filmed cursing and yelling at LAX airport staff after allegedly missing her flight.
“Take me to the next flight, motherfuckers!” the woman can be heard shouting, before demanding to speak to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
To the amusement of the kindly employees, he eventually discovers that he is in the wrong terminal and at the wrong airline counter.
‘I’m trying to get home to the girls!’
An accountant and her Louis-Vuitton-wearing husband set the Internet on fire in December 2023 when they were filmed crying in anger at a departure gate at Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina.
In the middle of their speech, they even insulted a woman in a wheelchair while accusing American Airlines staff of keeping them away from their dogs Shelby and Dolly.
“Remember your girls! You don’t care about girls, you don’t care about girls,” Thorne repeated, in a seemingly manic state.
A Karen strikes again!
In March of this year, a woman had a wild meltdown at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport after she was banned from an American Airlines flight for “abusing staff.”
The woman was seen on police body camera berating officers, mocking the size of his penis and his “mediocre” salary, before making a “wet” mess on the terminal floor.
He claimed to have drunk only two “very full” vodka and tonics at the airport bar, but was slurred and incoherent throughout much of his chaotic arrest.
Tantrum on display
In 2019, JetBlue’s check-in counter at Fort Lauderdale International Airport in Florida came under fire when a 26-year-old woman verbally attacked airline staff and called one of the employees a rapist. She also claimed to be armed with a gun.
The woman was later arrested and admitted to a hospital for a psychiatric examination.
‘Who wants a fight?’
A 300-pound, 6-foot-tall New York man caused a wild scene at an Orlando airport in 2022, where police Tasered him multiple times, yet he still refused to go down.
The altercation escalated when the man got into a physical fight with his wife and six-year-old daughter and had to be separated by security. He later attacked an airline employee before being arrested and charged.

This is the moment an Alabama mother who appears to have lost her children takes it out on an innocent bystander at Miami airport – and on computers.
Police said the American Airlines passenger became “irate and started yelling” at an employee when her two children left without telling her. She then pulled a computer off the counter and threw it at the agent.
The woman was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents during the 2022 incident before being arrested and charged by local police.
