Queen: Beyoncé has launched SirDavis whisky brand with Moet Hennessy
Beyoncé has launched an American whiskey with Moet Hennessy.
The superstar, who is a whiskey enthusiast, has teamed up with the drinks giant to create SirDavis.
The drink is named after Davis Hogue, Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whiskey and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” said the singer (whose most recent album was Cowboy Carter, pictured).
SirDavis will be available next month and will cost £79 a bottle.
However, several other high-profile companies have felt the impact of recent celebrity partnerships.
Adidas lost billions when it pulled the plug on a deal with Kanye West following his anti-Semitic comments. Diageo’s work with George Clooney on Casamigos tequila saw an initial boom, but sales fell by a fifth last year.
